Danube University Krems has become a competence centre for energy-efficient engineering and offers its bundled knowledge in a form of post-graduate courses in this subject area. The Solar Architecture curriculum comprises not only the theory of structural building design, but also of real estate operation and exploitation which is presented in a range of courses such as Facility Management, Real Estate and Climate Engineering.
I spent my time at the Danube University very intensively acquiring the knowledge and socialising. The colleagues from all over Europe came to Krems in order to learn new technologies and approaches. Special thanks go to DI Peter Holzer, the Construction Physics Course lecturer, who has a very vivid way of presenting the subject matter and whose mind is always open for new input.
